If you are interested in changing things in your life, be it habits that no longer serve you or thoughts are unhelpful, visualization is an excellent tool to use.

And if you are serious about making changes, it is best to make a plan for a regular practice.

I have found that everything is easier when you start at the beginning, so here are five tips to get you started manifesting with clarity.

5 Ways You Benefit from Regular Creative Visualization Practice

The practice of creative visualization can be summed up by this simple phrase, “if you can visualize it, you can achieve it.”

The process is a method of using visual images to bring about specific results in your life. It is a technique that is used by business people to bring them success, professional athletes to prepare for a game, and everyday people to achieve their life’s dreams.

Here are just some of the benefits you can gain by practicing creative visualization.

Achieve Your Goals

You can utilize the process of creative visualization to vividly see yourself achieving your goals in your mind’s eye.

When you envision yourself clearly, accomplishing your goals and achieving success, your mind starts to believe that you can achieve these goals. This helps you think that your goals are within reach and you start taking the appropriate action to accomplish them.

Improve Your Health

If you suffer from a medical condition or emotional problems, like anxiety or depression, you can use creative visualization techniques to help you recover.

All you need to do is close your eyes and clearly envision your body renewing itself. You can use creative visualization to reduce stress, improve your mood, lower blood pressure, and so much more.

Improve Your Happiness

The powerful act of visualizing something that you want, or an experience that you want to have, can bring you immense happiness, even it is just in your head.

When you can practice creative visualization techniques, your brain doesn’t know the difference between the vision and reality, so it responds in the same way as if the vision was real.

Boost Your Self-Confidence

When you see yourself doing something or obtaining things you want through your mind’s eye, it can help to boost your self-confidence. The more confidence you can build, the more likely you will be to take the necessary action to get or do those things you want.

This can boost your self-confidence even further.

Improve Your Memory

When you hear something that you want to remember, you can create a detailed visual picture of it in your mind. This helps to embed the memory so that you can recall it much easier later on when you need it.

If you practice creative visualization for 20 to 30 minutes a day, you will start to see dramatic changes in all areas of your life.

Not only will you find yourself in a better mood, but you’ll begin to accomplish things that you never thought possible.

6 Simple Steps to Start Using Creative Visualization

Creative visualization is a mindfulness exercise that you can use to promote success in every aspect of your life. Whatever your goal, you can use the following six steps of creative visualization to accomplish your goals and achieve success.

1. Set the Mood

It is critical that you are in a relaxed and positive state of mind when you start the creative visualization process.

Before you begin, you may want to try to take a peaceful walk or soak in a hot bath to help you feel more relaxed.

Once you accomplish this, you’ll want to find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.

2.  Enter a Meditative State

If you take the time to do a simple meditative exercise before you start the process, you will end up having a more intense and meaningful creative visualization session.

Meditating is just a way to shut off the noise and chatter inside your head. Try this simple trick:

Repeat once or twice more, as necessary.

Spend a few minutes meditating, and focusing on slowing down your breath.

3.  Visualize Your Goal

Once you feel your mind is relaxed and receptive, start to craft an image of the thing that you most desire, making sure to take some time to build in all of the details.

Try to make the imagined environment as realistic as possible, and do your best to include all your senses in the experience as it relates to your goal.

Imagine how you will feel once you have achieved your goal: excited, peaceful, free, light hearted, empowered etc.

4.  Hold Onto the Feelings

While the previous step is the most critical aspect of the creative visualization process, you are more likely to see your goals manifest into reality if you can allow your visualization experience to remain with you for the rest of the day.

Try to hold onto the feelings of happiness, pride, confidence, and peace as you move through your day.

The more often you can feel the feelings of having your goal, the quicker you will draw that result to you.

5.  Practice the Creative Visualization Process Daily

You should ideally make the process of creative visualization a part of your daily routine.

Most people find it extremely useful to set aside a specific time to practice. It is essential for you to maintain your habit of visualizing your goals until you obtain everything that you desire.

6.  Do the Work Required to Achieve Your Goal

Creative visualization is extremely powerful in helping you develop the life that you’ve always dreamed of, but you still have to put in the work.

To increase your chances of success, you have to take the necessary action steps toward achieving your goals.

And be sure to acknowlege any ‘wins’ along the way. Getting a coupon for a free oil change is a sign from the universe that you are manifesting more money, because now you do not have to pay for your oil change!.

Watch for the signs 🙂

5 Tips to help you visualize with clarity

1. Try Visualizing Before You Go to Sleep or After Meditating

You need to get your brain into what is known as the Alpha frequency if you want to place your request to the Universe.

When we become relaxed, are sleepy, or have just finished meditating, our minds are ripe for imprinting. So, you need to slow down, take deep breaths and surrender to your mind’s eye the things that you want to manifest.

When you are in this state, you’ll notice how much clearer your imagination becomes.

2. Declutter Your Environment

Our work and home environments are often a reflection of our inner state, as well as the vibrations that we are offering to the Universe.

By decluttering your space, you end up clearing out the old to make way for the new. Essentially, this means that when you can clear up space in your environment and life in general, it opens that space for something new to fill.

This does not mean that you must declutter your entire home before you start your visualization practice. Start with anything you see in your home that needs to be  put away.

As well, be sure to create a clutter free spot to practice your manifesting.

3. Actively Imprint Your Subconscious

When you get into a state of ALPHA, like during meditation, and you immerse yourself in the ritual of repetition for consecutive days, the Universe will hear your vibrations.

Your vibrations will begin to shift, and you will start to see evidence of your desires begin to manifest. Many people can feel the shift in their vibration and can manifest quickly.

4. Create a Vision Board

Twice a year, take the time to create a vision board that contains inspirational images that can help you manifest your greatest desires and achieve your goals.

Don’t just flip through magazines and hastily place the photos you find on a board and call it good.

You need to create something that speaks to your dreams and aspirations. Places you want to go, the fitness level you want to have, or the car you want to drive.

5. Gather Sacred Trinkets and Reminders

By surrounding yourself with items that can act as “manifesting mementos” is an excellent way to activate your energy, as well as the energy of the Universe.

Whatever you decide, make sure that it sparks joy in your soul. Maybe someone brought you a seashell from Hawaii, a place you want to go. Hold it in your hand while you visualize walking on the beach and picking up a shell. The point is to make your desires as real as you can…like you are already there.

With the power of creative visualization, you can manifest all of your heart’s desires.

4 Useful & Creative Visualization Exercises that Work

Creative visualization is the process of creation, management, and projection of images using the mind.

The practice of creative visualization can significantly improve your mental and physical sight to help you manifest your dreams and goals into reality.

However, like with any skill or practice, the art of creative visualization can be better developed through regular activity and exercises. Try these creative visualization exercises to improve your practice.

The Image of a Candle

For this exercise, you’ll need to find a quiet and dark place to practice.

Sit down in a comfortable position, either in a chair, on a mat, or a cushion. Start to breathe deeply and slowly and relax in front of a lighted candle. For several minutes, direct your attention to the flame. Closing your eyes, hold the image of the candle in your mind for as long as you can.

Repeat this exercise regularly to increase the amount of time that you can keep the detail of the flame in your imagination.

The Image of an Object

Select an object that you are familiar with and study its form. Make sure that the room that you are in is bright enough to bring out the full details of the object.

Carefully examine the object for some time, then close your eyes and try to recreate the features of the image in your mind.

Once you’ve been able to keep the object in your mind for a time, then you can start to manipulate it in your head.

The Memory of Other Senses

Sit down in a comfortable position and monitor your breathing as you begin to relax.

Listen to the simple sound of a nearby clock or fan. Remove the source and try to hear the precise sound in your mind. Repeat the exercise using tactile experiences and scents.

This exercise will work to help you develop your ability to reproduce images, not just visually, but with your other senses as well.

I like to do this exercise somewhere near flowing water, like a lake or river. Sit quietly and try to remove all the noise around you except for the sound of the water  – the sound of waves hitting the shore or just the sound of a babbling brook.

The Photograph

Select a photograph. Carefully look at the picture and try to capture every detail. Close your eyes and create a mental memory of the picture. Now, place yourself into the image.

Pay attention to your feelings. What do you see, hear, smell, feel, and taste? Are you alone or are there other people in the picture with you? Let the entire experience unfold as you study it.

Creative visualization is an age-old technique that is used by millions of people to manifest their heart’s desires. It is a skill that you can develop and strengthen with these four exercises and regular practice.

How to Be Successful with the Creative Visualization Process

The creative visualization process is an excellent way for you to manifest your dreams and goals into reality.

Based on the principles of the law of attraction, the more you focus on the things that you desire, the more likely the universe will manifest the thoughts into reality.

Here are five more tips for how to be successful with your creative visualization process.

Get Passionate

If you want to succeed in manifesting your greatest wants and desires, then you have to get passionate about your dreams and goals.

It is imperative to have clear goals when manifesting. Being wishy-washy about what you want will bring you mediocre results.

For example, if you want a new BMW car, go to a dealership and test drive one.

When you visualize it later, you will have real, tangible elements to bring into your vision.

While your ideas won’t manifest overnight, the more emotional attention you provide it, the faster it will be brought into your reality.

Get Specific

You need to be specific and clear about what you want if you want the creative visualization process to work. You want to try to avoid giving yourself a broad goal like “a better job,” or “more money.”

Instead, you want to think of specific outcomes, like “I want to get a promotion and a 10% raise at work in the next six months.”

The more specific you can make your goal, the better your visualization practice.

Utilize Visual Aids

There is a big difference between imagining your goals and making them seem so real that you can feel them.

Add additional imagery to your practice to give your goals the thrust they need to feel more real. The more you surround yourself with your goals, the more real they’ll become for you.

Set Time Aside

While you can practice creative visualization and positive thinking anywhere and at any time, setting aside time every day to sit in silence and image your ultimate reality will benefit you in the long run.

During this time make sure you unplug or turn your phone off, turn off the television, and let everyone know that you need a minute for yourself.

Commit to Regular Practice

Make sure that you stick to a habit of creative visualization if you want to manifest your wants and desires.

The longer that you practice, the quicker you’ll enter the frame of mind that helps to pave the way toward manifesting your goals.

And the more real the image is to your imagination, the faster you can manifest it.

That is because the universe thinks that it is already yours because your visions of it are so realistic.

When you begin your practice of creative visualization, remember to expect that your dreams will soon become a reality. The Universe has an uncanny ability to give you what you want when you practice creative visualization regularly.

Conclusion

When I first started visualizing, my results were spotty at best. That is because I was so hung up on whether I was doing it right or not.

But the thing about manifesting is that you cannot do it wrong.

As you learn and become better at manifesting your dreams, you will learn to get clearer about what you really want.

And as your dreams start to manifest, you will have less ‘things’ to manifest. You will focus more on making each item or experience the very best one for you, constantly upleveling the quality of the experience.
